I can never retire

At a lunch meeting today the speaker was talking about the new employment laws and how the aging boomer workforce will be impacted by those laws.

(Yawn).

Without missing a beat he started talking about how this aging work force cannot retire because either they lost their savings in the down market, never put anything in the market to loose, or have adult children sucking the life blood out of them.

(Delayed laughter that got louder.)

"And I can tell from your response that you understand the situation."

He never cracked a smile or changed his laywerly demeanor.
